Just because….
With the impending winter weather I was inspired to share this fun winter wedding sure to warm your heart and bring a smile to your face. Stephanie and Jamie married just before Christmas at The Hotel Washington in Winchester, VA. This wedding was the vision of the very talented Lisa Schulz of The Posh Planner and made lovely with the floral creations by the very talented Holly Chapple. So excited to share this with you! I will let the pictures tell the rest of the story!
I’m back! For my two followers (one of which is my dad) i’ve missed you!
It’s been busy here in the A house! For one, I went back to work a little sooner then usual! I’m used to having a little break over the winter, which is good because I really dislike the cold!
But thanks to some fans, I have been shooting babies, bellies and even an engagement session in the FREEZING cold! Did I mention I really dislike the cold?
All of that will be shared in good time but first I want to share with you one of the reasons why my life is so crazy!
Happy Birthday to my sweet little guy Jake! He forever changed me and my life 7 years ago. The story of his entry into this world is lengthy so let’s just say it came with great fanfare! He was and continues to be one of my proudest achievements and greatest blessings. While I know I am a little biased, he has a tender heart paired with his mommy’s eyes and daddy’s smile. He melts my heart every single day and I can’t imagine life without him!
So here’s to 7! I don’t know how it’s possible because I still feel like I’m 28 ; )

As the first snowfall has arrived here in DC, I felt compelled to share a winter engagement session I shot last winter. It was cold…. in fact it was VERY cold! Fortunately, I had a new pair of mittens and this couple had love to keep them warm! Actually I found that shooting an engagement in the cold has it’s definite positives! Snuggling to keep warm! Enjoy!
I am just busting at the seams with excitement! Why you might ask? Well, let me just introduce to you Stephanie Ascari Photography This has been in the making for quite some time. It was a little bit scary (and sad) to say good bye to Cleverly Candid Photography, but I just felt like it was no longer a good representation of who I am! I mean, we are constantly changing and this is no exception!
I am so excited for what’s to come of this blog! For months I have been writing lists of ideas and work that I want to share. While it will certainly be a place for work there is no doubt that I will be sharing much of the daily happenings, antics and victories of this crew!
